GALLEY |
|
The galley on this Lagoon 42 catamaran is awesome. The galley was an instrumental part of the decision in selecting this boat. Most boats of this size have small galleys, and boats that are configured galley up had particularly small galleys. This galley is as functional as it is large; both of these attributes being scarce on yachts of this size. There is more than ample counter space on both sides of the galley. The cabinets are large, plentiful, deep, and accessible. The custom mounted microwave fits neatly above the stove. The Force 10 stove has three burners, one of which is high capacity for quick boiling of water and other gourmet applications. It also has an oven and broiler. The microwave has a clean custom installation above the stove. Not to be overlooked, the front loading refrigerator and freezer are also significantly larger deeper and more functional than you’ll see elsewhere. No more emptying the contents of the refrigerator to find that needed item at the bottom..this is more like a house refrigerator. Plus, the refrigerator and freezer have separate air cooled 12 volt DC compressors, so there’s no need to run the engine to keep them cold. The eight solar panels provide more than enough energy to keep them going. If you don’t like running the engine every day (which we despise), then you’ll love this setup. I could go on and on about how great it is to have such a functional galley, but I think you get the point by now. One more thing…everything currently in the galley, including all plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, dishes, appliances, blender, mixer, coffee grinder, etc. etc. is included in the price of the boat. The equipment list is too extensive to detail; there are more cooking and serving utensils than we have in our home kitchen! Equipment list: · Force 10 thee burner propane stove / oven / broiler · Adler Barbour 12 volt air cooled refridgerator compressor · Adler Barbour 12 volt air cooled freezer compressor · Corian counter tops · Custom mounted 800 watt microwave · Double SS sink · Pressure hot / cold water · Auxilary fresh waterr foot pump · 11 storage cabinets · 6 drawers · 12 volt oversize refridgerator · 12 volt DC oversize freezer · 2 x 5 gallon propane tanks enclosed in forward locker · Fully stocked cookware, flatware, food storage, utensils and other various galley necessities are included |

Pantry / work room is in the background. | The salon roof extending over the galley, as well as the passout area makes the galley open to the salon. This gives galley up social access with galley down room and utility. The cook is part of the crew when in the galley! |
